It was a cold crisp Sunday morning, the adrenalin was still pumping through my veins from steering Barry’s rudder earlier that week and from the amazing ride through Pacific Spirit Park the night before.

Quick note: Thanks Jakub for said ride, another 2 months until the next one.

As I crossed 12th avenue my mind was elsewhere, probably on the beach in the Bahama’s having a break from the pain caused by the evil banks we all hate so much. Suddenly I found my self lying on the ground in excruciating pain, wrist all mangled and bike on top of me I soon realized what this meant… Barry will be taking the passenger seat for an unknown amount of time. FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!

But this was just the start of it… X-rays confirmed I had broken my wrist in 3 places and Morphine had confirmed how much of a space cadet I can be.

I had only journeyed to the foot hills of the mountain that was before me, I consumed more Morphine, Oxycoden and Tylenol 3 than food which rendered me a dizzy smack talking drone and after two days of this the doctors cut me open and presented me with a titanium souvenir (I wish I could have had it engraved with something funny like; Save a tree, ride a bike!)

After the operation they let me go home with a fist full of meds, within 3 hours I was back in emergency screaming in pain - 6 hours and 50mg calmed me down enough to leave. At one point I was talking in tongues (I wish they spoke that in Sth America because I’m fluent) After 2 weeks of intensive pain killing treatment and a purple hand (Meat Stick as it was known to many) I’m back to feeling like captain Yom again.

Oxycoden 5mg - Hill billy herion - Fantastic for pain relief but they have a habit with fucking with my head.

 Tylenol 3mg - Not as strong as Oxy’s but 2 at a time will do more than you think.

Morphine - 20mg shot to the IV will either make you pass out or see rainbows where ever you look and touch.

Fav’s: 2 x Tylenol 3’s with 2 fingers of Captain Morgan’s. BAM!
